Federal, State & Municipal Security

All H & P guards are trained in the safety/security rules and regulations of each assignment. Contact with maintenance crews, law enforcement officials and the general public regarding safety of individuals and maintenance/security of the building or facility is significant to the work.

Highly skilled H & P are trained to screens individuals; admit or bar individuals visiting or utilizing building or facility in accordance with the building or facility safety/security rules and regulations; prevents theft in the building or facility; searches individuals for suspected stolen goods; allows only authorized materials in and out of the building or facility; maintains entry/exit register.

Our guards are also expected to patrol building or facility to prevent acts of vandalism and disruptive individual behavior; periodically inspects building or facility grounds and equipment for proper functioning; reports any malfunctioning or maintenance problems to superiors and maintenance crews concerned; monitors individuals in the building or facility as necessary; quells any unusual disturbance or disruptive individual behavior by speaking directly to individual concerned; requests that the individual leave the building or facility; notifies superiors of any incidents; contacts police if necessary; logs time of patrol; prepares incident report to be submitted to superiors; may appear in court to testify against disruptive individual.
